National Atlas of Russia

 

Volume 1. General Characteristics of the Territory. The first volume of the Russian National Atlas provides information on the general geographic characteristics of the Russian Federation and its regions.

National Atlas of Armenia. Volume 2.

It is a rare and unique Album- Book. It is a scientific, political and historical work, which presents and illustrates the entire history and culture of the Armenian people. Oceanographic atlas of the Black Sea and the Sea of Azov

The Oceanological Centre of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine and the State Hydrographic Service of the Ministry of Transport and Communications of Ukraine represents the Oceanographic Atlas of the Black Sea and the Sea of Azov, the first specialized multidisciplinary cartographic atlas of this direction in Ukraine that seems to be an important milestone in the long-term creative cooperation of Ukrainian oceanologists, hydrographs and cartographers.

In spite of the prevalence of new information systems based on up-to-date conceptions and technologies, atlases keep their specific place in the structure of presenting information concerned the environmental peculiarities and state. They are an important element of the information support, a tool of scientific research, a method of getting new knowledge and generating new ideas.

The Oceanographic Atlas contains multidisciplinary scientific information on the environmental state and the main features of the Black Sea and the Sea of Azov. It represents maps reproducing in great detail oceanological, climatic, hydrographic and other characteristics of these seas and created with the use of the most comprehensive datasets.

Officer's Geographical Atlas
The General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation has published its newest Officer's Geographical Atlas. Published in 2008 by the Voenno-Topograficheskoe upravlenie. The 414 page atlas includes reference information on countries of the world and 123 pages of place names.
