Nachinaem uchit' predlogi i soiuzy [Begin Learning Prepositions and Conjunctions

Manual for students learning Russian as a foreign language (elementary level, A1). The book is designed for foreign students who master the elementary level of proficiency in Russian (A1) and can be used both when working in the classroom (without an intermediary language) and when studying Russian independently. It is designed to develop and work out the skills of using prepositional and allied constructions in speech. The training material is presented illustrated speech patterns, grammar tables, exercises that are aimed at training in the use of the studied structures in speech, and creative tasks. Keys are given for a number of exercises. The manual consists of two parts. The first part deals with the most frequent prepositions in the Russian language and their meanings, as well as prepositional-case constructions. The second part is devoted to allied structures in simple and complex sentences. For control and self-control, the book includes tests and verification tasks. This manual can serve as additional material to the textbooks of the initial Russian language course.
