Chevengur
The text also traces the ideas of religious sectarianism and Russian futurism. The main character, Alexander Dvanov, grows up in a poor Russian province against the backdrop of the revolution and the Civil War. Going in search of communism, the young man finds himself in a town called Chevengur. Residents of the city are confident in the imminent arrival of communist Paradise. They take a break from long years of oppression, eat pasture, socialize their wives, and brutally deal with bourgeois elements.
