The work of Mikhail Bulgakov has a tremendous impact on contemporary literature. And not only because he is recognized as a genius writer. Bulgakov was no less a brilliant thinker, capable of not only correctly assessing difficult socio-political situations, but also foreseeing the future. The play 'Days of the Turbins', created on the basis of the novel 'The White Guard', is devoted to perhaps the most tragic pages of Russian history - the Civil War. This was the only play in the Soviet theater, where whites were shown not with a caricature, but with obvious sympathy.
