Velikie mastera ukie-e [Great masters of ukiyo-e]

Japanese ukiyo-e printmaking is one of the country's most recognizable traditional arts. This book contains biographies and engravings of the most famous ukiyo-e artists. The engravings presented in the book cover the period from the 1660s, when the genre first appeared, right up to the dying days of ukiyo-e at the end of the 19th century. The book can be considered an encyclopedia on Japanese artists of the 17th-19th centuries.
