Starikam tut ne mesto [No Country For Old Men]
The famous novel by Cormack McCarthy, winner of the Pulitser Prize (for the novel "The Road") and the US National Book Prize (for the novel "Horses, Horses ..."), a modern American classic of the main caliber, a master of complex emotions and non-standard syntax. This cruel parable in the shell of a modernized western was carefully transferred to the movie screen by the Cohen brothers; the film was nominated for eight Oscars and received four, and also collected about a hundred different-sized awards around the world. A Vietnam veteran (played in the film by Josh Brolin) goes to the Texas mountains to hunt for antelopes and discovers traces of gang warfare - dead bodies, a load of drugs and a suitcase with two million dollars.
