The manual presents cross-cultural texts, built as stories about the fate of the remarkable Russian women - the most prominent representatives of Russian culture, in whose life reflected the historical era. In order to expand students' cross-cultural knowledge, the authors, along with well-known personalities of Russian culture, offer information about those who are less well known to foreign audiences. The material is divided into sections, according to the life areas in which women, whose biographies are presented in this manual, realized themselves. A set of lexical and grammatical exercises has been selected for each text, the purpose of which is to remove lexical difficulties, expand active vocabulary and develop grammatical skills of students. For foreign students, an advanced stage of study and can be used in Russian culture classes for the development of students' communicative and general cultural competencies.

The book is designed for foreign students who master the elementary level of proficiency in Russian (A1) and can be used both when working in the classroom (without an intermediary language) and when studying Russian independently. It is designed to develop and work out the skills of using prepositional and allied constructions in speech. The training material is presented illustrated speech patterns, grammar tables, exercises that are aimed at training in the use of the studied structures in speech, and creative tasks. Keys are given for a number of exercises. The manual consists of two parts. The first part deals with the most frequent prepositions in the Russian language and their meanings, as well as prepositional-case constructions. The second part is devoted to allied structures in simple and complex sentences. For control and self-control, the book includes tests and verification tasks. This manual can serve as additional material to the textbooks of the initial Russian language course.
