Devushka so snaiperskoi vintovkoi [Girl With a Sniper Rifle]

Vospominaniia vypusknitsy tsentral'noi zhenskoi shkoly snaiperskoi podgotovki 1944-1945. Seriia na linii fronta  Yulia Konstantinovna Zhukova volunteered for the Red Army at the age of 18. In 1944 she graduated from the Central Women's School of Sniper Training. For several months of the hardest fighting in East Prussia, the sniper girl had a chance to visit both the offensive and the retreat, to experience the hardships of many days of encirclement and the threat of captivity. On the official combat account of Yu.K. Zhukova, there are 8 killed enemy soldiers and officers, among them one sniper. Yu.K. Zhukova was awarded two medals 'For Courage'.
