The purpose of the manual is to acquaint students with the most commonly used phraseological combinations of the Russian language and teach them how to use them correctly. The book features over 280 of the most commonly used Russian phrases, grouped by topic. The themes of the lessons are related to typical communication situations in which Russian people traditionally use phraseological units. The tasks are given according to the principle of increasing difficulty: from simple tests in the form to complex, based on linguistic analysis of artistic texts or articles from the modern press.
