The book is dedicated to the Soviet military elite of the 1930s. The author studied intra-army groups - original fraternities that originated during the civil war and continued to exist in the 30s of the 20th century within the military elite. It is rightly pointed out to contradictions and even mutual hostility between them. The question is why JV Stalin destroyed a significant part of his military elite on the eve of World War II. Based on a wealth of material, primarily archival, the author offers his own interpretation of events.
