The second volume of the two-volume ‘Soviet Kyiv (1919-1991)’ is dedicated to events and people who left their mark on the history of Kyiv from 1945 to 1991. Most of the information given in the book contradicts the primitive presentation that was regaled in those days in schools and universities, even of the historical direction. The book contains no illusions about Soviet reality, but the author, a third-generation Kiev resident, participant and contemporary of what is happening in the City, gives readers the opportunity to feel the time and era in which millions of citizens of the USSR, Ukraine, and Kyiv lived.
