Chitaem? Chitaem. Chitaem! [Read? Read. Read!]

This manual is intended to teach reading skills to foreign students who speak Russian at a basic level. The book includes stories of mostly modern authors, as well as journalistic texts. The book consists of two parts, oriented in terms of the lexical and grammatical features of the texts at the I and II certification levels. Each part includes 10?12 texts, both adapted (if necessary) and not adapted, arranged by increasing degree of difficulty and equipped with a Russian-English dictionary. Topics are selected taking into account the possibility of their discussion in the audience, which will contribute to the development of independent speech. The manual can be used to prepare for state testing and is designed both for work under the guidance of a teacher, and for independent work.
