Pikhtinskie golendry i vershininskie poliaki [Sketches on the Ethnithity]

This monograph deals with the problematics of the group identity and its ethnic component. The comparative study subjects are two rural communities founded by the ?Stolypin? resettlers. We refer to so called Pikhtinsk Golendrs and Vershina Polanders ? the descendants of the migrants who came to Eastern Siberia in 1910 from the western regions of the Russian Empire in the course of Stolypin reform implementation. After 100 years of living in Siberia they not only haven?t merged with the environment, but have become the united groups.
