Bliznetsy [Twins]

Taras Shevchenko is a great Ukrainian poet, a talented prose writer and playwright, an outstanding artist, whose works reflected an entire era of our history. In the center of the story "Twins" is the fate of two brothers taken to be brought up in the family of the centurion Sokira. The name itself sounds ironic: siblings, by virtue of their characters and living conditions, become social antipodes.
