Kratkii slovar' russkogo zhestogo iazyka [Concise Dictionary of Russian Sign Language]
Russian is one of the richest languages in the world. A sign language has a very small vocabulary (about 10,000 gestures), but over time it is constantly updated. The increase in the number of gestures directly depends on the mastery of inaudible verbal speech. This dictionary contains a small part of the main words-gestures, the use of which is possible in everyday life, which, of course, will help to establish contact between the hearing and the deaf. The interest in sign language has been growing in Russia lately. People with hearing impairment need government support to learn and use sign language in everyday life - as a universal language, as a means of obtaining information and education, as a way of communication, expressing social relationships, cultural identity, aesthetic expression.
